Live classes

Live classes on Edredo can be created on Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, and Webex platforms. These classes would be exclusive to the classroom members.

Creating a Live Class

To create a live class inside your classroom, you need to follow the steps below:

Navigate to the "Live Classes" section, from the menu on the left hand side of your classroom dashboard

When you click on the "Live Classes" link, it will take you to the listing page for live classes.

Now, to create a live class, you will need to click on the Add Live Class button at the top right corner of the live classes listing section.

This will open a popup where you can select any meeting platform that you want to use for creating your live class.

Once you select a platform, you will redirected to the authorization screen of that platform. Here, you will asked to provide some account access to Edredo.

After authorization is complete, you will be redirected back to Edredo. Now you just need to select the authorized platform and click on the "Create" button at the bottom.

You will be taken to the next screen, where you can add details for your live class and customize it according to your needs.

You will be required to add a topic, start time, recurrence pattern (if any), duration for the meeting and a brief description. All of these are mandatory fields.

You can add a a start time using the calendar interface provided in the "Start time" dropdown.

Then you can set a recurrence pattern for the meeting. You can choose from the three options available.

If you choose custom, then you can select on which days of the week you want the meeting to repeat.

Then you just need to add the duration (in minutes) and description for the meeting. Once you have added all the details, click "Create Live Class" button. This will redirect you back to the "Live Classes" listing.

Here, you will find the live class that you have created. These are the steps to create a Live Class on Edredo.

Joining a Live Class

The classroom members would be able to see the created live classes in the feed as well as the “Live classes” section.

The members can join the live classes using the join button.

Revoking Authorization

To see all the apps that you have authorized for live classes, you need to click on the Kebab (3-dot) icon next to the "Add Live Class" button.

This will open a dropdown showing option to "View Authorized Accounts".

When you click on "View Authorized Accounts", it will open a pop-up listing all the apps you have authorized.

To revoke the app access, you will need to click on "Revoke" button. When you do that, you will be asked to confirm whether you really want to remove the app.

Here, you will need to click "Yes". After doing this, you will receive a notification that the selected app has been removed successfully and the app will be removed from the list of your authorized accounts.

This is how you can remove authorized accounts from your classroom.

The "Past" tab on the live classes listing page allows you to view all live classes that have already occurred and have been recorded. If a live class was recorded, it will be available under this tab, enabling members to watch the session at their convenience.
